Simon Harper
Head Coach LTA Licensed Part 2
During an extensive tennis coaching career Simon has worked with many highly ranked junior players, which has led him to various locations around the world.
After playing American Collegiate tennis in Florida, Simon started his coaching career in the UK by spending a year at Frinton LTC in Essex. His first international coaching experience followed, when he spent a year working with the Ghanaian national Under 12 boys team in West Africa.
On his return Simon spent eighteen months at the UK's only tennis holiday resort, teaching an adult-focused programme at the Windmill Hill Tennis & Golf Academy in East Sussex. Simon's second international coaching experience took place in India where he spent six months training and touring with a group of top junior players from Bombay, including Purav Raja who won the 2006 Mens's National title.
Three years were then spent working in the UK for Essex and Suffolk LTA's before Simon embarked on his third international coaching experience, spending two years creating a tennis programme for some of Western Australia's finest juniors.
In 2004 he returned to his roots to fulfil his ambition of building his own tennis programme based in the East of England, Simon's place of birth, which would enable all aspiring young tennis players to fulfill their true potential and ambitions within tennis whatever their social upbringing.
